Must read for future brides! LADIES ONLY

The wedding day is fast approaching, and there is still so much to get done. Don’t panic! You still have plenty of time to complete everything on your to-do list in time for your event. There are a few items you should cross off sooner than later. Here are some tasks you want to get done a month before the big day.

Safely delay ‘that time of the month’

You’ve planned your wedding meticulously right down to the very last detail, the last thing you want to ruin your perfect planning is your period falling on the date of your wedding, right?
Many brides want to try to delay their period due to the inconvenience of having to deal with it on their wedding day. Women often worry about not having enough sanitary items to hand, as well as whether they’ll be able to change them while wearing a wedding dress. Plus, there are monthly symptoms related to periods such as migraines that brides may wish to avoid. If your ‘time of the month’ is scheduled to make the most inconvenient appearance ever, the time and hassle of booking an appointment with your GP to find out your options is the last stress you need.

• Make Spa Appointments

Book your mani and pedi as well as any waxing, massage, etc. appointments to make sure you get the time you want. Wax away any unwanted hair, but do this no later than 72 hours prior to the wedding to avoid visible redness and skin irritation. Go to the salon for a manicure and pedicure the week of to avoid chipping. You may want to go in for one last depuffing facial and use depuffing pads under your eyes to keep your skin in tip-top shape.

• Start a skincare routine

If you haven’t already started a wedding day skincare routine, you should be doing treatments that work for you and your skin. Just make sure you don’t try anything new that could irritate your face right before the big day.

“They shouldn’t start their beauty routine last minute. They should at least start them 6 months prior. But I always tell my brides they shouldn’t do it just for the wedding. Even after the wedding they should take care of themselves. But in the last couple of weeks they have to make sure they get their facials (preferably about a week before) and if it’s a clean up couple of days before the wedding.” — Says Professional Makeup Artist

• Finalize beauty appointments

You should have your makeup and hair stylists booked and your trials done. Now secure a timeline with both so that you aren’t scrambling at the last minute.

•Go to a final dress fitting

The last thing you want to worry about right before the wedding is your gown. Schedule your final dress and suit fittings to make sure everything fits perfectly.

The last thing you want to be just before your special day is a crazy wedding planning addict who can’t even breathe because they’re so stressed. Make sure you get plenty of sleep and stay calm. Your wedding day will be perfect. There really is nothing to worry about.

And that’s it! You’ve made it! You were always beautiful, but now you are now the wedding-ready, beautiful, blushing bride you always wanted to be. Relish the day all the more knowing you’ve done everything in your power to look your best.

With lots of love,
